A graduate of Lincoln University (1987) and Kellogg Rural Leadership programme (2017), much of my career has involved working with rural communities. Particularly those challenged with resource use and management. This experience, built understanding and empathy for the impacts of change confronting farming businesses and the intergenerational implications that many decisions made can have. The benefit of independent, facilitated communication to have the conversations that matter is clear. While not always comfortable, facilitated conversations ensure progressive and inclusive outcomes that make good business sense. Intrigued by people, I am quick to observe strengths, skills, capacity and commitment within others to develop productive teams. I have a strong sense of community and have held leadership and governance roles with sport and initiatives for building stronger families.
